Lug Airbus2

I have a hit or miss love-hate relationship with QVC. I'm mildly addicted to home shopping, easily influenced and the perfect target for the expert sales force out there. There's been times when my order arrives and I admit I don't know what I was thinking when I purchased it. I'm pleasantly surprised with the Lug Airbus 2. It's got pretty much everything one can ask for in a weekend bag.

Do I need another bag? Heck no, I have lots of backpacks and gym bags of different sizes. But this is the perfect weekend bag for those trips up to the lake, or carry-on bag (in the overhead compartment).

On looks alone, it's got a really nice profile. Padded removable shoulder strap and quilted handles, the whole bag has a smooth padded feel but sturdy enough not to lose its shape. Other pluses include smooth working zippers (pet peeve), a name tag window, and little plastic feet so the bottom doesn't sit on the ground. But the best part are all the pockets. There's the roomy main compartment with two nice sized elastic pockets, with an outside vented area to store shoes (takes up some space in the main part). On one a a side is a zipper pocket, then a magnet enclosed pocket for sliding in some magazines. On the other side, another zipper compartment with a bunch of organization areas for pens, chargers, cables, etc. On the outside of that compartment there are three small zipped pockets for holding individual things like my headband, spare battery pack, dog treats for the pup. They even thought of adding a small deep zippered pocket at the top to slip your phone in or your ID (with .RFID!)

The trial run for the Airbus was on our long weekend trip to Tahoe. It held jeans, leggings, swimsuits, tank tops, t shirts, skirt, lots of under things. I packed my Teva sandals and a pair of slip on sandals in the shoe compartment but still had room for everything. The bag worked extremely well!

The negatives: there's no way to lock it up if you had to check it in for a flight; filling the shoe compartment eats up space in the main area; too big to fit under the seat on the plane; mine was missing the Lug key fob.

I delayed posting this, because when the bag arrived from QVC, it was missing the Lug key fob. QVC did not respond when I emailed them about it, but when I contacted Lug, the company quickly  shipped one out to me. Happy dance!
